چکیده

Objective: Anastasis, a process that has been discovered recently, halts apoptosis, and thus, recovers the survival functions of cells. It may be suggested anastasis is related to cancer progression, especially in stem cells which are responsible for therapy resistance, metastasis, recurrence. In this study, investigation phenomena its effect on stemness gene expressions brain cancer-related aimed. Methods: study commercially obtained glioblastoma multiforme(GBM), cells(BCSC), cells(BSC) were used vitro models. To induction apoptosis 4% ethanol-including medium was used. Annexin V assay confirmation apoptotic anastatic status. Gene expression profile determined real-time qRT-PCR method fold changes calculated by using 2-∆∆Ct method. Ingenuity Pathway Analysis functional pathway upstream regulatory analysis. Results: A common decrease genes GBM performed Although BSCs showed similar with cells, all upregulated BCSCs. Similar profile, canonical pathways markedly down-regulated BSC GBM, while they up-regulated BCSC. Differently, it activation self-renewal BCSC, unlike BSC. Conclusion: We have demonstrated inhibition prevent malignant transformation healthy aggression cancerous Anastasis as critical mechanism supports uncurable cancers.

Brain Cancer Stem Cells: Current Status on Glioblastoma Multiforme

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), an aggressive brain tumor of astrocytic/neural stem cell origin, represents one of the most incurable cancers. GBM tumors are highly heterogeneous. However, most tumors contain a subpopulation of cells that display neural stem cell characteristics in vitro and that can generate a new brain tumor upon transplantation in mice. Hence, previously identified molecular ...

An overview of therapeutic approaches to brain tumor stem cells

Primary and secondary malignant central nervous system (CNS) tumors are devastating invasive tumors able to give rise to many kinds of differentiated tumor cells. Glioblastoma multiform (GBM), is the most malignant brain tumor, in which its growth and persistence depend on cancer stem cells with enhanced DNA damage repair program that also induces recurrence and resists current chemo- and radi...

O27: Interaction of Cancer Stem Cells and Microglia in Glioblastoma Multiforme

Malignant gliomas are highly invasive brain tumors with the occurrence of multiple microglia/macrophages in the tumor microenvironment. Macrophages/microglia that found in glioma microenvironment, as tumor-infiltrating immune cells, can play a harmful role in tumor progression. In addition, glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) contains multiple aberrant differentiation and tumorigenic cancer stem cell...

Cancer stem cells in glioblastoma.

Tissues with defined cellular hierarchies in development and homeostasis give rise to tumors with cellular hierarchies, suggesting that tumors recapitulate specific tissues and mimic their origins. Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most prevalent and malignant primary brain tumor and contains self-renewing, tumorigenic cancer stem cells (CSCs) that contribute to tumor initiation and therapeutic resista...
